Leeds fans think Marcelo Bielsa will finally hand Izzy Brown his debut this week

Leeds remain on Norwich’s heels having emerged 2-1 victors over Bolton on Saturday, with goals from Patrick Bamford and Ezgjan Alioski enough to secure all three points for the Whites.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side visit QPR on Tuesday, where they will have the opportunity to finally regain their seat at the top of the Championship – a poor run of results means the Elland Road outfit have slipped down to third, although they have a game in hand.

For loanee Izzy Brown, though, the game surely represents more than just that, as he will be hoping to make his first appearance for Leeds despite having joined in the summer from Chelsea.

Injury setbacks have hampered the midfielder, who suffered a season-ending knee injury while on loan at Brighton in January 2018, and so he has yet to make his debut for the Yorkshire outfit, playing his football with the Under-23’s as he fights to get back to full fitness.

Although he was on the bench for the Peacocks on Saturday, the quick turnaround of fixtures suggests that he is likely to feature in some capacity next time out.

Leeds fans on Twitter were quick to say as much when the 22-year-old took to the platform to congratulate his teammates on the weekend’s win, with some praising Bielsa for his management of the stricken starlet…
